I was never given deadlines until I started getting emails, and never given a fair chance to succeed. I had to reach out and ask for a human being and at that, most of my “training” has been self-taught. Many of us in leadership didn't receive any training except on a computer, which is not how it’s supposed to go. I feel like such a birdbrain for not listening to my gut in the beginning and giving it a chance. I put in several tickets daily to IT for access/re-access, to remove error message issues, to get me the information I need to even conduct my work. Not only that, but the systems malfunction ALL the time. I use about twenty different systems alone in my position. They have a million systems that make daily operations almost inefficient because you’re constantly have to move from one system to the next. Because the staff and residents deserve better than this. I like to have challenges at work and to be busy, but what they sold me in terms of “challenges” was a hill, when in reality it’s an active volcano that’s definitely erupted in the past, and nobody sent in rescue or aid to the people. They made the community seem great, made it seem like there would be some things I would need to get back in order due to previous management. What a bad choice I made in accepting a job offer here. Brookdale is a revolving door of employees for a reason! They destroy anyone who ever steps foot into their company. In the eyes of Brookdale, if you don’t play by their rules, you will be buried alive and replaced without a second though or accountability on their end for setting you up for failure. Perform at an unrealistic expectation or be eaten alive.

You get thrown into your job and you pray you can swim, in these shark infested waters.
